The latest installment in the WWE series of video games: 'SmackDown vs. Raw 2009' continues the franchise’s definitive video game simulation of live WWE action on the Xbox 360, PS2 / 3 and PSP consoles.
New to this version of the game includes a brand new tag team experience allowing players to build momentum and attributes thus eliminating opponents with high impact double teams and finishers, as well as get the “hot tag” for the win.
Also new is the Create-A-Finisher option, letting the gamer construct the most devastating and unique moves ever unleashed in a WWE ring and a new Road to WrestleMania Mode that lets players experience co-op storylines for the first time. WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2009 also extends the virtual WWE gameplay experience with robust online capabilities, including the highly anticipated debut of downloadable content.
Australia will be getting a special collector's edition of WWE SmackDown vs Raw 2009 on the PS3 which includes:
- Collectible Ring Packaging
- WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2009 videogame, which includes EXCLUSIVE WWE WrestleMania 24 Main Event Match: Edge vs Undertaker
- Exclusive WWE Blu-ray disk includes over 2 hours of additional content: Best of Raw and Smackdown Matches, plus BONUS Smackdown vs Raw 2009 videogame behind-the-scenes documentary.
WWE SmackDown vs Raw 2009 is confirmed for release on November 6, 2008.
