TV series Lost to be a hit game

Yes it has been announced – the smash hit TV series Lost will now be transformed into a video game with Ubisoft heading the development of the title. It’s interesting to see Touchstone Television expand their profit margins (and entertain the massive fan base for the Lost series) by entering the gaming arena.
The plotline (and high production values) of the action packed mystery of Lost follows a group of survivors who are stuck on an island after a tragic aeroplane crash. While living on this island, the group of people start to realise that the island itself is not normal, with many mysterious creatures and events taking place around them. The survivors then try to unravel the mystery of the island and are faced with their own mysteries and what the survivors themselves have done or will do.
Other than the announcement of a game in the works, not much is known about how the game will play or if it will follow the series storyline directly. I would guess that players will relive the epic events of the storyline in the game by playing characters in the 3rd person perspective.
Often we find that games developed which follow television shows (or movies for that matter) don’t end up being that good after all. However, the concept of Lost is still proving quite entertaining and addictive to watch as it captures TV screens across the world. The game for that matter will try to do the same as it lands on all consoles, portables and the PC sometime in 2007.
