Touch Mechanic - Nintendo DS
September 8th 2008 23:45
In what seems like a first for the gaming world, the latest game for the Nintendo DS by Kando Games takes a similar approach to The Sims by offering gamers the chance to play the role of a mechanic, repairing and tuning classic / modern cars.
Touch Mechanic uses the dual-screen display and stylus of the DS for all facets of the game such as tapping certain car parts like brake discs and exhausts with the stylus pen to get them off the car or scratching the screen with the stylus to sand a specific zone on a body part. Working from the ground up, you start working as an apprentice for a mechanics old timer, Captain Bob who teaches you the basics of mechanics. From there on end, your job is to progress in your career by acquiring knowledge and completing certain tasks - repairing cars for customers; tuning a car for a motor show - in order to climb to the top of the automotive world and working in more and more prestigious garages.
It's an Interesting concept to say the least and a rather entertaining and interactive way to learn how different components of a car come to work together.
The launch of Touch Mechanic on the Nintendo DS will be confirmed at a later date. [touchmechanic.com]
