Sword slashing action on the Wii…Zelda style

This November when the Wii hits shelves in the US (followed on the 7th of December for Australia), gamers of all ages will be treated to the innovative new gaming system which is the Wii. Moreover, a launch title for the console, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will certainly be a stand out title which will be on the most wanted lists of many gamers.
Gamers who played Zelda on the Gamecube remember the cell shaded and cartoon graphics which the game was themed around, alongside the young version of Link who had big eyes and a cute little sword. This time around, Links returns to his classic form and this is obvious by the graphical design and look of the game. Aside from the graphics and plot of the game, I am really intrigued by the control system that will be in place for this title.
The Wii controller will be used extensively for this title, with players being able to swing a sword and even go fishing with the fling of their wrist. By holding the controller in one hand, a player can jab the controller in a stabbing motion which will cause Link to use his sword in a piercing motion on screen. Also, players can fling back and forth the controller in fishing like motion that will cast a sinker into the water on screen. These are just a few examples of the multiple movements that players will be able to create in the game.
Whenever someone purchases a Nintendo, they can never go past a Zelda title and I don’t think this title is any exception. Interestingly enough, Twilight Princess was originally created for the Gamecube and Nintendo have stated that they will be releasing it to the Gamecube as well. So if you don’t want to tire you’re hands, then the GC version might be for you (although that sounds quite silly).
