Starcraft 2 announced!!

1996 and the greatest RTS was released by Blizzard. Over 10 years later and its sequel has now been Officially announced in Souel, Korea at Blizzard Entertainment’s Worldwide Invitational 2007. Starcraft involves an epic plotline of human vs. alien races in the battle for land and survival. Terrains, Zergs and Protos all return in this game with an inclusion of any new race being ruled out (which will be a disappointment to gamers looking for a fresh race to play with).
SC2 will feature many of the old units from the first game plus fresh characters and vehicles this time around. No heroes will be included in this title as Warcraft 3 had – with SC2 developers opting for the traditional massive armies that cover all ends of the screen with excessive micro managing. Over 300 units per team are rumored as a figure to what gamers will have to contend with during wars in game.
Graphically, this title will be in full 3D, unlike the original which was 2D based. Currently it looks similar to Warcraft 3, however with a higher polygon count and sharper graphics. More so, gamers will be able to run this game on Vista and Windows XP – but be prepared for a possible graphic card update guys when we have hundreds of units on screen blasting firearms and creating explosions left, right and centre!
There is no planned release date yet but I reckon it will be delayed until the end of next year. Blizzard is a company which tries to suck the money from everyone’s wallets but does release games which are near perfect – so the longer the better as long as the game is a blockbuster!
