Spiderman 3 to hit all consoles in May!

Alongside the next chapter in the epic Spiderman series of films, Spiderman 3 will be hitting all consoles (new and old) on the 2nd of May and it is shaping to be a good-looker. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game are the ones to look out for as we anticipate glorious graphics and advanced game play in comparison to the old-gen releases.
The game follows the previous titles in utilizing the 3rd person perspective of Spiderman as players navigate through maps, zipping and ‘flying’ from location to location with the added feature of the black spidey suit which follows the film’s storyline. This suit can be leveled up during the game and allow Spiderman to perform special abilities.
A new combo system is in place for this game giving players a wider and more powerful variety of bone crushing moves to outlay on enemies. Boss fights are also present and include the Goblin for one. As I said earlier, the gameplay is very reminiscent of the older titles which might infuriate a few gamers who are looking for a different spidey flow this time around. My only concern (as is every game that comes out on all consoles and follows a Hollywood film) is whether this title will be entertaining or just a money grab during the big Marvel advertising outburst. I tend to find that many games following films are just crappy and lure gamers (and unsuspecting parents) by the title and how the game relates to the film.
Lets just hope this title comes out and becomes a smash hit like the upcoming film.
