CibbuanoSonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood

Call me old-school, but I still find it strange when I see Sonic the Hedgehog pop up on Nintendo consoles for the simple reason that Sonic has been such an iconic Sega character since the Mega-Drive days that whenever I think of Sega, the lovable hedgehog is the one and only character that pops up in my head.
For me, it's kind of like seeing Super Mario pop up in an Xbox 360 game - yes, unthinkable...and weird!
Anyway, Sonic has already appeared in more than a few Nintendo titles over the years and the latest in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise is titled Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood for the DS hand-held console.
This role-playing game - Sonic's debut in the genre - follows the story of the speedy hedgehog and his mates who team up to defeat a menacing new enemy after the kidnapping of Knuckles the Echidna and the disappearance of the mystical Chaos Emeralds.
The 4-character team gameplay involves extensive use of the Nintendo DS stylus pen with characters being controlled by tapping the stylus in conjunction with the action buttons to manoeuvre around the exploration areas and perform special attacks etc. There are over 20 areas to explore including exciting environments such as Angel Island, the centre of Eggman's fortress city and through a wormhole into an alternate dimension, while solving puzzles and dodging obstacles simultaneously.
Gamers can also make use of DS Wi-Fi for online trading and collecting of Chao they have collected!
