Smackdown vs. Raw 2007 cancelled on the PS3!

Looking at the games market at the moment, I see a lack of quality wrestling titles on gaming consoles (or information regarding the development of ones). The last title I played was WWE Reckoning 2 on my Nintendo Gamecube which was a very enjoyable game to say the least. The graphics were very fine and gameplay was addictive. It gave me memories of the days when I used to play WWF Warzone and Attitude on the Playstation 1, followed with WWF No Mercy on the Nintendo 64. Whilst gathered with my friends fights and arguments about who was double teaming who spun out of control and sometimes we took the game way to seriously! None the less, this is the type of game which is really rewarding.
Warzone, Attitude and No Mercy are quite dated when I play them again, and the only good titles I have seen come out are WWE Smackdown vs. Raw and Reckoning which have made it big with wrestling fans on gaming consoles. I guess WWE Smackdown vs. Raw has become the norm in the wrestling genre now with gamers eagerly for Smackdown vs. Raw 2007 which should be out really soon (hopefully by the end of this year).
Unfortunately this title has been cancelled on numerous consoles leaving it to be released only the Xbox 360 and possibly the PS2 – but not PS3! I wonder what THQ, the developers of the popular title are doing. Could it be due to the high development costs that the PS3 requires and the lack of people purchasing the console when it debuts at an extremely high price? By releasing it on the Xbox 360 and PS2, a high majority of sales will occur due to lower sales price and a larger market who own these consoles (yeah some marketing and economic knowledge for you guys
Hey maybe game developers can release a title on the Nintendo Wii. Of course it would be necessary to see motion sensor handling included! Now THAT would be a treat to play!
