Scarface blasting onto the PS2 and Xbox

"The World is Yours" is the quote which some can say summed up the ambitions of the ruthless Tony Montana in the classic 70s film Scarface. The dynamic screen writer Oliver Stone created a powerful story which is still watched by many fans to this day.
The popularity of the gun toting gangster has paved his way onto the gaming 'screen' in third person "GTA-style' action. This has left me baffled that a film produced just over 20 years ago (made in 1982 to be exact) can still be viewed as gaming wise profit - but then again the recent success of The Warriors (created by Rockstar Games) and The Godfather (EA games) are both based on films released in 1979 and 1972 respectively and have gathered enormous publicity and sales success with their releases on the PS2 and Xbox.
Having said that, Scarface: The World is Yours, should follow suit with the successful creator Vivendi taking charge of development. The story is set after the film has finished with Tony not perishing in a blaze of bullets, but surviving and having to rebuild his life. This concept may annoy many hardline fans, but how else was a game to be made! (Well perhaps a remake of the film but that could turn of turned out boring and predictable).
As you control Tony through the third-perspective view in the game, you will be able to build your reputation slowly by fighting gang members, hijacking cars and fulfilling a range of missions which are typical to the GTA games created by Rockstar. Eventually you will even be able to renovate and rebuild your damaged empire (and mansion) with the money saved from creating crime (here come the angry politicians and parents!).
Do expect this to be very violent and controversial (drug dealing was essential to create wealth in the film and I don't think that will be forgotten), with a high certification rating to follow.
None the less, those who have been fortunate to have viewed the film should be grasping their gaming console and boasting to their friends with the lines "Say hello to my little friend" (Tony Montana) when Scarface: The World is Yours arrives late 2006!

Also, with the Godfather I want to see Vito consume some nice pasta in the game too!

Funny thing you mention food, I can't recall the last time I saw an FMV of a leading game character eating... Now that would be amusing!
