Run a corner shop in Tamagotchi Connection

Namco Bandai Games America, the creators of Cooking Mama for the Nintendo DS are bringing another catchy and quirky little title to the gaming scene which places the gamer in a sort-of… managerial position (so-to-speak) in Tamagotchi land. Tamagotchi was the wild craze which took the world around 9 year ago when gamers raised their own little pet in a handheld egg and Bandai (the creator of the Tamagotchi craze) is recycling the brand name in games this time around.
Gamers essentially run mini-shops such as burger and cake shops to even a car wash. As players fulfill customer care and create food and drinks in mini-games, they will earn ‘Gotchi’ points which can be used to feed and clothe their Tamagotchi pet (in similar fashion to how the original Tamagotchi operated – a pet sim). Players will utilize the Nintendo’s DS’s stylus which will see players cleaning cars and catching food in fry pans in missions.
Graphically the game looks ‘cute’, with characters speaking in bubbles and colour animation which will really please young gamers. That brings me to the point of young gamers. I think this title will be suited to children more than an adult due to its simple and repetitive nature. Come on!... it’s a pet sim for crying out loud! If you really want a nice pet sim, try Nintendogs, a worthwhile game that all DS owners must have.
Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 2 is recommended as a children’s title and nothing more. It will be out in November, but I suggest gamers try Nintendogs or even the upcoming Catz which are worthy pet-sims which don’t play on a brand name that Tamagotchi is.
