Rhythmic button bashing…Elite Beat Agents!

Nintendo never ceases to amaze me with their nifty and innovative games which don’t have to stun the gamer with eye dropping graphics, but focus more on gameplay and technique to maximize enjoyment. This is where Elite Beat Agents makes an impact on the Nintendo DS, seeing gamers use their stylus and buttons to full use and coordination to what is on the screen.
Elite Beat Agents is an addictive game which runs players through different maps or scenarios where the player must touch the screen in a certain coordination which will then create musical responses and beats. Catchy tunes and wicked graphics flow as players proceed by tapping the screen with their styles or dragging objects from one direction to another to the beat.
Don’t be fooled by the concept as being too easy as difficulty can range respective of levels, music and even when playing in multiplayer modes. Yep! Players can verse other across an online network or even locally against their friends with the added feature of downloading new levels and songs which should increase the replay value for this title.
This is a sweet game and is already having rave reviews from gaming critics and looks to be a feature title on the DS. Players can even find them selves beating tunes to Avril Lavigne’s ‘Sk8er Boy’, which is one of a whole list of licensed tracks for this game. I will be getting my hands on a copy of this game asap!
