Games developers think of the weirdest blend of games but the search for originality and addictive gameplay comes quite short with many games developers who have seemed to run out of ideas. D3 however, the developer of Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords has come up with an interesting puzzle game that integrates traditional RPG elements into over 100 hours of addictive gameplay!
Orcs, elves, knights, wizards and dragons are just a few of the characters that fill a fantasy world full of tension and war (as we usually see in this Lord of the Rings setting). Players see their characters battle enemies in anime-style presentation with ‘Bejeweled’ like puzzle pieces that players use to form a variety of combinations which unleash attacks on their enemies. This includes spells and physical hits which when defeating an enemy results in gold rewards and increase in attributes such as strength and magical skill (to name a few). This acts in traditional RPG fashion with players being able to use gold to increase their skill set and become more powerful.
This title is developed for the PSP and DS, with the PSP version coming out a bit sharper in the graphics department in comparison to the DS version. None-the-less, this game is highly rated by critics and the gaming community alike and will surly keep those puzzle and RPG lovers occupied for some time. Check it out now.
