Naruto fans in for a treat…but everyone else should pass…

Looking at this title reminds me heavily of the poorly created Dragonball Z titles which came out a long time ago on the Mega Drive and SNES. Washed down graphics with too much emphasis on ‘super’ moves was a flaw I thought in the DBZ games and D3, the creator of the new Naruto Ninja Council 3, seems to have repeated this mistake…or from what I can see.
This title will be released on the Nintendo DS this May, and it essentially an action game following the very successful Japanese anime, Naruto. Up to 20 characters from the anime can be unlocked with players fighting in up to 40 missions and the ability to customize fighting styles for their characters. Moreover, up to 4 players can be linked in a multiplayer battle which will create an interesting and fun atmosphere for a mini group of Naruto fans.
The stylus and microphone are utilized in the game, with players tapping out and blowing in a variety of special combos. Interesting but I am sure will get boring and annoying quite quickly. So what more can I say, this is just another 2D side scrolling fighter game based on an action anime. Been there, done that…but then again, fans of the anime will certainly be happy with this title. I suggest DS owners looking for a good action title that will not go bland quick to avoid this title as I think it is recommended only for hardcore Naruto fans…
