Mercury Meltdown onto the Wii

Ignition Entertainment released an interesting yet addictive title on the PSP a while back, which was essentially a puzzler title which was simple yet enjoyable. This puzzler saw players control a blob or multiple blobs on a map with the aim of moving the particles from one end to the other (avoiding any obsticles that stand in the way). More so, the blobs looked and moved like real-life mercury would, which is the genius of this title.
Now Mercury Meltdown Revolution will head onto the Wii by the end of next month which although isn’t a spectacular brake through in gaming, will certainly capture the eyes of many gamers in a variety of age groups. Importantly, the Wii version of the game will strongly make use of the wireless motion of the Wii’s controller. Players will tilt the map and move the blob of mercury by moving the Wii controller in the right direction and turning it appropriately. This reminds me heavily of the old wooden box that had a maze constructed inside, with many holes and the aim of titling and turning a tiny ball from one end of the map to the other without the ball falling into a hole.
