The guys behind Buzz! Master quiz for the PSP are returning to the handheld with Explodemon! The game is a retro looking platformer with the title character doing everything by exploding. It’s also slated for the PSN, WiiWare and PC. I saw Splosion Man on X Play the other day and it makes me wonder if this is just a rip off of that or something original. We’ll have to wait and see.

Co-op for Modern Warfare 2 is confirmed… but only for some of the single player campaign. According to spokesman Robert Bowling the company is “crafting a very specific experience” and doesn’t want co-op to ruin that – which I respect. I think that’s what ruined Resident Evil 5 is that Capcom put the co-op gameplay first and the experience second.

The Punisher: No Mercy hits next Friday for PSN in the US… not sure when Australia or Europe will get it but should be soon hopefully. Wouldn’t mind Metal Gear PSOne first guys.

Congratulations to Naughty Dog for having Uncharted 2 announced as Best of Show by Game Critics. I don’t think this “honour” means a lot because games like Beyond Good and Evil, XIII and Shadow of the Colossus are all critically acclaimed but they all sold poorly. I think gaming critics opinions mean about as much as movie critics and it doesn’t mean that the game will sell even more copies now a bunch of gaming journalists approve. But that’s my two cents. But I am excited for Uncharted 2 – I loved the first one.

Tekken 6 is coming October 27 in the US with other territories getting it a little later. Not all that keen as I’m still yet to get Street Fighter IV but for all you Tekken fans – the countdown is on.
