Jaws Unleashed onto PS2, Xbox and PC

The horrifying and gruesome Jaws has made its way into our gaming screens once again by developer Appaloosa Int. The game essentially follows the hit movie series which graced the cinemas screens in 1975 (follows by sequels released in the 1980s). The storyline pits a Great White Shark against some innocent humans who are eaten and mangled in one horror episode after the other. Coincidentally… a hero emerges and brings down the gruesome shark which has been terrorising humanity.
Gameplay in Jaws Unleashed plays interestingly, since this time around the player controls the shark Jaws itself (perhaps the idea of playing a game where you hunt endangered sharks would not be appealing as being the shark itself). By playing Jaws, the game becomes mighty violent with blood and gore becoming commonplace in the game.
Players are given a variety of moves to use with Jaws including a simple bite, head-butting attack (to break glass and boats) and brutal bites to name a few. ‘Shark vision’ is also used to lock onto targets from far range with targets being humans, dolphins and whales.
The game is set in 10 different water environments related to the films – but what amazed me the most was the amount of blood and dismemberment that can be done with Jaws. Some might say this is too excessive for a game whilst others might say “look how violence is gratified in Doom, Quake, Counter-Strike, GTA … (list goes on and on)”. My opinion on the violence in Jaws is that it is a violent game however intended for an adult audience. Similarly, many adults would have seen the film when they were younger and find the game quite a treat (not that this generation wouldn’t

Certianly, the graphics could be a bit better. Yet the things you can do . . . Its great! No limits - Aside from the "Strong Current" to keep you in the scenario's boundaries.
Destroy piers, ram the drowning humans . . . Sneak up on the swimming humans and drag them down without being seen.
Then there are smaller sharks that can attack you here and there . . . Gets annoying, to me.
I won't continue, I'll let you guys find out.
