Hectic shooter from Capcom for Xbox360!

January 14th 2007 08:13

Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, is Capcom’s latest hit for the Xbox360 and it packs a punch. Capcom has combined mindless shooting, aliens and glorious graphics in a planet covered in ice named E.D.N. III which is the human races’ next planet to conquer. In the process of dominating this planet, the human race is confronted with an alien-insect-like race called the Akrid. Moreover a bunch of ‘snow-pirates’ are also scavenging the planet and are humans who also pose as an enemy to the humans who are trying to conquer the planet (the gamer).

Weird storyline but that’s what we expect from the Japanese gaming company Capcom! To make things more interesting, players play in third person perspective on the snowy planet and can also control mechs which can fly and blast enormous amounts of firepower against enemies. Also, in order to stay alive players must capture an energy source in a form of some red-gooey substance that is left after the insects are killed. Weird indeed!

Boss fights are great and graphics are very nice with snow, wind and massive fiery explosions prevalent within the game. On the downside, the game can be completed in 7 to 8 hours, but none-the-less the multiplayer component of the game is very strong which will provide many more hours of enjoyment for players after completing the game.
I am recommending this game if you like a shooter game with no stress on the mind for puzzles but just mashing down enemies one after the other.
