GTA 4 delayed till next year
August 5th 2007 08:03
This year game developers are pounding out massive releases, but one which has been highly anticipated for some time now - Grand Theft Auto 4 - will be delayed till next year. Take-Two interactive confirmed this with a planned release date of this big title to be at least February next year. Reason being? - supposedly development teams are having difficulty with certain aspects of the game and are trying to release copies of the title on the PS3 and Xbox 360 at the same time. The problem however is the highly different developing platforms of the 2 consoles which cause caused this problem.
But could this really be the problem? Manhunt 2 - Take-Two's highly criticized title was banned from even being released which tarnished profits and the share price of Take-Two. None-the-less, Take-Two is planning to release GTA 4 in the next fiscal year. Could the delay of GTA 4 be in preparation for the new fiscal year in order to wow shareholders? Interesting...
So GTA fans have to wait a few months longer for this new epic title. My only hope is more trailers and even a demo or 2 (playable at least!) that should keep gamers occupied in the short run.

They might simply haven't finished the game on either (or maybe just one) console.
