Fancy Pokemon Diamond on the DS? Go Pikachu!!
November 20th 2006 11:02
This title is selling like HOT CAKES in Japan at the moment and I cannot blame the DS gamers for that. If you ever played the Pokemon series on the Gameboy such as Pokemon Red or Blue (Gold, Silver, Ruby etc etc) you will know exactly what type of game I am referring to and why people are going nuts over this title. Nintendo’s Pokemon Diamond follows the same RPG elements that its predecessors had, but this time it is jam packed with more pokemon, side quests, moves and even WiFi play which is surly one of the greatest features of this game!
Whilst all the old pokemon are still available in this game, players will find themselves exploring new territories, entering new gyms and hunting a wide range of new pokemon. These pokemon will probably feature in the new pokemon film due to be released next year called Pokemon Ranger. Furthermore, the developers have added so many little games and abilities such as baking bread for your pokemon and even designing your own pokeballs and animation!
Now here is the part which I am ecstatic about: multiplayer play! Yes, train and raise your pokemon and fight them against anyone around the world! Moreover, players can also trade their pokemon if they don’t wish to battle it out. This is a brilliant inclusion and shows what type of game Nintendo releases which really sets it apart from the Sony PSP.
I can’t wait for this title to be released locally and am surly purchasing it on its release date. Sony should really open their eyes, and release some big titles on the PSP sooner or later. Massive delays including the prolonged release date of Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core, Gran Turismo 4, Metal Gear Solid have mad many gamers like me pissed off. Come Sony we need these games at a quicker rate because Nintendo is kicking your ass!
