Fallout 3 to be released in Australia in October

Despite initially being refused a rating by the Australian Office of Film and Literature Classification, it appears the Australian release of Fallout 3 - albeit in 'revised' form - is going ahead with a special "collector's edition" due out in October priced at $129.95.
The revised version of the game has been cleared for release, and has been classified MA15 by the OFLC, as based on the title's "Strong violence, drug references and coarse language" - the highest rating under the Australian classification system which means persons under the age of 15 cannot legally purchase the game.
Exactly what has been 'revised' remains unknown at this stage and could vary between name changes to the in-game drugs to a drastic overhaul of the game's menu and icon system but what we do know is what's included in the "collector's edition" of the game - the Fallout 3 game disk, Metal lunchbox, Making of DVD, Artbook and a Vault Boy bobblehead.
Fallout 3 is the long awaited third installment in the classic Fallout franchise - a series of action role-playing games (RPG) with the latest installment featuring both first-person and third-person perspective. The story of the game is set in the year 2277, 200 years after the nuclear war that destroyed the game's world with the surviving residents of Washington DC now living in Vault 101.
Vault 101 – Jewel of the Wastes. For 200 years, Vault 101 has faithfully served the surviving residents of Washington DC and its environs, now known as the Capital Wasteland. Though the global atomic war of 2077 left the US all but destroyed, the residents of Vault 101 enjoy a life free from the constant stress of the outside world. Giant Insects, Raiders, Slavers, and yes, even Super Mutants are all no match for superior Vault-Tec® engineering. Yet one fateful morning, you awake to find that your father has defied the Overseer and left the comfort and security afforded by Vault 101 for reasons unknown. Leaving the only home you’ve ever known, you emerge from the Vault into the harsh Wasteland sun to search for your father, and the truth.
Special gameplay features for Fallout 3 includes: limitless freedom, the SPECIAL character customisation system, V.A.T.S (Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System), and mind-blowing artificial intelligence. [ebgames.com.au]
