EA not happy about the Spore Porn
June 24th 2008 00:05
Spore is the highly anticipated evolution game from the fecund mind of Will Wright, and it due to be released this September.
We've been waiting a long time for this game, which allows you to play as a simple organism that evolves into a land creature, then a tribe, then a civilization, then a space-faring race. It's playing God for real, and the game famously allows you to design the creatures yourself, making them ferocious or whimsical.
EA released the creature editor early, so fans could have a little fun playing around with it, adding new, exciting aliens to the Sporepedia. Over 250 000 creatures were created in one day, believe it or not.
Naturally, people can't get their mind out of the gutter, so there's been a huge surge in people creating Sporn (Spore porn). For example?
The following videos are probably safe for work, but not really.
and, even more disturbing:
Well, EA is not happy about that.
Do we need Sporn? Certainly, the game has lost a bit of edge as people have raced to make increasingly more disgusting aliens. Can anyone succeed in make a sexy creature? One that doesn't provoke giggles or grimaces?

"While EA has confirmed that more than 250,000 creatures have been created since the service launched, some of them apparently violate the terms and conditions of the service. Really?"

It must be a guy thing. I also always have communities of hot lesbians when I play The Sims.
Maybe I'm just a pervert. I'll spend hours getting someone with a high enough art skill to paint nudie pictures of the townspeople hahaha.
