Dragon Quest 9 still packing its bags until July

As we all mourn the delay of 007 Racing 2, Japanese fans of Dragon Quest 9 will be pouring for this massive delay!
March 28 was scheduled to mark the beginning of one of the biggest Dragon Quest sequels ever seen on DS… but bugs are sweltering around the development lab at Square Enix for the game to venture by then.
A press release from Square Enix says it extended the release date to "July 11, in order to give us enough time to improve and inspect this title."
A little tidbit by Kotaku mentioned how the sequel to the great Dragon Quest 8 on the PS2 was originally slated two years ago. This is as worse as the translation of Rogue Galaxy from JP to PAL (or translation of RPG’s to PAL in general), but with good reason, the last thing I want in a lengthy RPG is to have it crash after 4 hours of gameplay because of a crappy bug, rather than a flat battery >.<
Oh that’s right! This could mean an extended wait for Australians too! Well I’m not holding my breath… FF13 is expecting a 2010 release… So double treats for Pal territories in that year! Or am I being too optimistic?
