Dewy – a movable blob for the Wii
April 24th 2007 14:03
Not literally though – Dewy’s Adventure is the latest Konami title for the Nintendo Wii which places players in control of a cute blue blob that must venture from one point of the map to the other without being exploded, squashed or dried out! For those who have physically played the maze game where you must tilt a square maze based on two knobs and move a little ball from A to Z without falling into a hole – well this is quite similar.
By saying similar, this game related to the Wii’s controllers which will have players tilting the Wii controller up, down, left and right in order to move the adorable Dewy around the map. Dewy, the magical drop of water can also change states from liquid, solid and gas which really makes the puzzle element of the game interesting. Dewy’s ice state can change bodies of water in the map into solids which makes it easier for Dewy to slide across them, with Dewy’s gas state heating things up and making him float around.
This is a bright and colourful game with cute enemies that will surly put players in a happy mindset in this weird and wacky environment for Dewy. The use of the Wii controller really sells this game along with the puzzle element of Dewy’s Adventure. Check out this title by the end of the year.
