DDR: Hands and Feet entwine on the Wii!

Konami is pushing ranks with their new title for the Nintendo Wii, and this time the Dance Dance Revolution franchise continues with the use of the Wii’s hand held controllers. Imagine stamping your feet and moving your arms in coordination to beats and rhythms on the screen, which can now be done in your own living room and against 3 other friends.
DDR Hottest Party looks like an innovative use of the Wii controllers but how accurate will the game pan out. DDR is known for its fast paced and excessive button output which requires players to tap their feet in a range of directions in quick succession or face losing points and the stage. I recently played boxing on the Wii and was quite disappointed by the speed in which my hand movements were rectified by the sensor bar of the Wii. Quick jabs were not particularly recognized, making me repeat my moves in a slower pace. If this was a problem for me in boxing, I would imagine how tough annoying it might be if I was jumping around and swinging my arms very quickly in DDR.
