Best Freeware Games of 2007 (from TIGSource)
January 9th 2008 10:30
The end of the year is a special moment in the house of gaming... it's a chance to look back at the year and reminisce about all the alien blood splattered on high-def walls, all the crates jumped, all the medipaks mysteriously absorbed.
The world of freeware games is exploding like a mushroom cloud... so many fantastic games are coming out that I simply don't have the time to play them all.
This list on the TIGForum is a great reminder why 2007 was a fantastic time for freeware.
I mean, we're talking about Knytt Stories, a charming, hauntingly beautiful game that's so simple and endearing that the developer, Nifflas, has his own fanboys.
We're talking about Sam And Max, the episode that was released for free, showing that the adventure genre hasn't died, especially when you look at The Art of Theft and Sunset over Imdahl.
I've never been more thrilled to play games for free.
Check out all the games!

Books Are For Losers
It's the most amazingly in-depth game, especially considering it's not a commercial project.
