Another Sim City? City Life …

Sim games are quite popular these days with the formula of creating you own life, house or city for that matter still being quite popular as it has been for the past decade. With the boost in graphic and processor power, game developers have been able to produce more interactive and visually exciting simulations. Monte Cristo, the developer for the new City Life, has utilised the power of technology and has produced a gem of a game with the likeness of the classic Sim City.
The main aim of this title, as you would have guessed, is to create and manage a city. Players will be able to choose from 5 different terrain types (with different climate and environment) in which they can purchase a piece of land and create their Town Hall. After this is done, players can begin expanding their empire constructing grocery stories, shopping centres, medical centres, and schools (to name a few). Players will also be faced by natural and man made disasters including fires which will have to be attended to by the creation of a fire station.
Another interesting aspect of the game is the class division of citizens in the game. These include blue collars, suits, elites, fringes, have nots and radical chics who must all be treated for their needs and have the correct environments created for them. I find this a nice addition that will have players organising their city in a more direct matter which involves the creation of the city in more of a ‘social manner’, which really hasn’t been implemented in similar games.
The ability for the player to walk around their city in first person mode is another cool aspect of the game which may not be necessary, but does add more dimensions to the game and allows the player to enjoy the beautiful graphics of the game.
I recommend this game for players who enjoy simulation games – especially the Sim City franchise which this game plays similarly too. This strategy game is now available on the PC.
