Another expansion for Guild Wars!

A new expansion campaign is set to be released for the popular MMORPG title Guild Wars and will be released this October on the PC. This expansion will be called Nightfall and will have a few new extras to keep Guild Wars fans happy, or even draw new gamers to the GW scene.
This title will present 2 new professions being dervish or paragon. In addition to these professions which promote skills focusing on area of attack (aoe) and mystics; a new continent will also be available for players to explore. The continent Elona is reminiscent of the African/Arabian environment where players will spend most of their time. It is important to note that this title can be played as an add-on or standalone title to the original Guild Wars game, which will prove positive for new gamers to this MMORPG by not being ‘too far’ behind in the game.
Additionally, players will be given a ‘hero’ who will assist them in their quests and battles. This is helpful when completing difficult quests and the skill sets of heroes will also be modified by players as they proceed in the game. This is an unusual feature I think, and reminds me of the ‘pets’ in World of Warcraft which helped their masters (the player) fight off enemies by assisting attacks. Might be an interesting concept, or just end up being an annoying one.
Nightfall will continue to increase the popularity of the Guild Wars franchise but for how long against the now ‘standard’ Blizzard title World of Warcraft which holds the MMORPG market? Well at least GW is a one off payment and still proves worthy of play… I recommend GW as an alternative the WoW, and a good one at that! (without the constant monthly fees!!)
